Every year the first weekend of September you can take a trip around the world in 'Neerpelt'. (The village just next to mine).
'Oxfam fair trade' organizes this 'world-festival' and it's always a treat!
You can eat dishes from all over the world like Congo, Kenia, ...
There's also a kids village where the children can learn to play the djembe and learn how to do an African dance. Every year there are some art projects too. Last year there was a man who painted in water. I forgot to look it up how that one worked, but maybe I'll do that later.
This year there was a guy who showed the children how to do dotpainting like the aboriginals. He used embossing pens instead of skewers. I think I'm going to ask my school to invest in those too.
He brought an example dotpainting he made himself on canvas with very small dots (Very nice!).

I never heard of this, but apparently when you make them wet you can make other shapes with them and it sticks too!

The 3rd art-project was making a fantasy world map with paint. I didn't get the chance to snap the finished ones but here are some action shots:
